Background: Allison Cameron is the daughter of an elementary-school teacher and a banker. From all appearances she had a normal, healthy childhood. Both parents were supportive and involved in her life - extracurricular activities included horseback riding, swimming lessons and the math team. An only child, theirs was a middle-class family which gave young Dr. Cameron the nurturing necessary to produce a functioning member of society. There were, as far as we can tell, no overtly traumatic or significant episodes in Dr. Cameron's early life that affect her as an adult. From a young age, she knew that she wanted to help people, fix those who were hurt and heal those who were sick. This led to her pursuit of a medical career.

Notes/Concerns: Doctor Cameron is an idealist, and has a tendency to be naive. She wants to believe that she can save everyone, and is hurt when she cannot. Oftentimes she forms personal attachments to patients, which makes it difficult for her to disassociate in the event of a death. (see note below on husband). Administration is concerned that if she cannot learn to control her emotions, she will suffer emotional or psychological difficulties as a result of her job.

It has also come to our attention that Dr. Cameron has become attracted to her superior, Doctor Gregory House. Conflict of interests, emotional damage and/or problems in the workplace may result from this tentative affection. Careful observation of the two has shown reluctance on the part of Dr. House to pursue a relationship. Administration has expressed worries that his abrasive ways may cause her to lose her effectiveness as a doctor - indeed, last year Dr. Cameron resigned in part because of the attentions (or rather, lack thereof) of Dr. House.

Other Information:

- Had a recent HIV scare when an HIV positive patient coughed blood into her face.

- Married Daniel Cameron at age 21, after he was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was widowed six months later.
